5th Edition

futurEU Competition 2025

The EU is facing existential challenges. The futurEU 2025 Competition allowed more than 300 CIVICA students from all over Europe to develop the innovative policies on enhancing EU competitiveness.

After the finals of the futurEU Competition 2025 in Berlin in mid-May, the fifth edition of the competition has concluded. The sixth edition will follow soon!

The Topic: Enhancing EU Competitiveness

Several ideas have recently been floated around for how the EU can increase its competitiveness. Now it is your turn: How do you think the EU can become more competitive? The FuturEU Competition was founded by a group of Hertie Students and expanded over time into one of the biggest policy competions of the CIVICA network. Recent competitions tackled different topics of relevance to the Future of the European Union and produced a large amount of policy proposals. The competion has also introduced an observer track for Ukranian students to incooperate new perspectives and ideas.
